WELCOME TO THE HOT NEWS PAGE OF HAMPSHIRE DISTRICT ASSOCIATION OF THE CAMPING AND CARAVANNING CLUB (Your Friendly Club) This will be the page to keep your eye on, as any amendment or cancellations to Camping sites will be added as soon as the Web Master has been informed, also news on any special forthcoming events. A new message for all Hampshire D.A members (20-11-09) OUT & ABOUT MAGAZINE ENTRIES Some of you may be surprised of the amount (or rather lack of) information now being printed in the monthly Out & About. This is due to the restrictions being imposed by Excempted camping on all D.A s. We are now only allowed a total of 250 key characters, which include spaces and all punctuation marks. For meets and non camping notices, all information regarding all our activities are entered onto a data base and then this is submitted to HQ, this normally includes details of site, post codes, map references, directions, and all other information, including stewards and contact numbers, this is an impossible task as each character is counted automatically by the computor programme and if you exceed your given total you are unable to submit anything to HQ for inclusion in the out & about. The Total Key characters permitted for all information regarding T.H.S.s is 540, so not much extra information about the THS can be included. THE BURNHAM TROPHY AWARD 2009 To all Hampshire D.A. members Your efforts and contribution to our Guyline has been recognised, and your committee are pleased to inform you that the Hampshire D. A has been awarded the Burnham Trophy 2009 for the best Newsletter over the past year. Thank you to all who have submitted articles for publication, and contributed in anyway to our Newsletter, your continued support is very much appreciated. Thank you Read more about this in the January 2010 issue of the Guyline To see a picture visit the Gallery page The planned THS at Hamble Primary School 4th-31st August HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO NO STEWARD AVAILABLE
